Liberty Township, Jackson County, Michigan

U.S. Route 127 forms the eastern border of the township and leads north 9 miles (14 km) to Jackson, the county seat.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 2,903 people, 1,073 households, and 857 families residing in the township.

There were 1,186 housing units at an average density of 34.1 per square mile (13.2/km2).

There were 1,073 households, out of which 34.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.5% were married couples living together, 5.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.1% were non-families.
