It is part of the Grand Forks-ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

At the 2000 census there were 144 people, 51 households, and 42 families in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 99.31% White, and 0.69% from two or more races.

[1] Of the 51 households 37.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.6% were married couples living together, 5.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.6% were non-families.

There were 7.7% of families and 9.1% of the population living below the poverty line, including 4.0% of under eighteens and 13.6% of those over 64.
