Lindsey is an unincorporated community in Ottawa County, Kansas, United States,[1] less than 1 mile (1.6 km) southeast of Minneapolis.

[3] By the late 1860s the use of Fort Solomon was coming to an end, as problems between the white settlers and the Indians disappeared.

Lindsey was in decline as well, and by this time was no longer the county seat.

[4] The community is served by North Ottawa County USD 239 public school district.
