At the time of the last two-yearly Collaborative Australian Protected Areas Database report in 2022, 12,621,397 hectares (31,188,150 acres) of land in Western Australia was covered by conservation parks, which is 1.66 percent of all protected areas in the state and 0.5 percent of the state overall.
Overall, just over 30 percent of Western Australia is covered by protected areas.
