The list of shipwrecks in October 1916 includes ships sunk, foundered, grounded, or otherwise lost during October 1916.

The Imperatritsa Mariya-class battleship caught fire, exploded and sank at Sevastopol with the loss of 228 of her 1,213 crew.

She was refloated on 18 May 1918 and scrapped in 1926.
