Lobelia anceps, commonly known as angled lobelia,[2] is a small herbaceous plant in the family Campanulaceae it grows in several states of Australia, New Zealand, South America and South Africa.
Lobelia anceps is a prostrate to ascending, glabrous, perennial herb typically growing to a height of 50 cm (20 in), occasionally branches rooting at nodes.
The blue, purple or occasionally white flowers are borne singly in leaf axils on a pedicel 2–12 mm (0.079–0.472 in) long.
[2][3][4] Lobelia anceps was first formally described in 1782 by Carl Linnaeus and the description was published in Supplementum Plantarum.
[5][6] The specific epithet (anceps) means "two-sided, double, flattened", referring to the leaves.
