One of the top clubs in the country during the late 1970s and early 1980s, they won the WFA Cup in 1981–82, but folded less than a year later after the league they played in was discontinued.
[2] During Lowestoft's participation in It's a Knockout in 1970, competitors from the town's team began playing football together.
[3] Lowestoft became one of the top teams in the country, featuring several current or future England internationals, including Debbie Bampton, Linda Curl, Vicky Johnson, Maureen Martin (captain from 1976 and 1981),[3] Angela Poppy and Jackie Slack.
[3] They won the South East of England league title in three consecutive seasons, and in1978–79 reached the final of the WFA Cup, losing 1–0 to Southampton.
