Macari District

[1] The capital of the district is Macari.

One of the highest peaks of the district is Qillqa at 4,900 m (16,100 ft).

Other mountains are listed below:[2] The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent.

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (84.25%) learnt to speak in childhood, 15.55% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
