Macroglossum divergens, the broad-bordered hummingbird hawkmoth, is a moth of the family Sphingidae.
It is found from north-eastern Sikkim, India across southern China to Cheju Island (South Korea), southern Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines and then south through Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia to New Guinea and neighbouring islands.
Third and fourth abdominal segments are with latrea; yellow bands and paired black dorsal spots.
Pupa is pinkish bone colour, but head, thorax and wing-case tinged with green.
[3] There are several generations per year in Hong Kong, with adults on wing in April and from June to December.
