Manlius, New York

Manlius is a town to the south east of Syracuse in Onondaga County, New York, United States.

As of the 2020 Census, the population was 33,712, making it the third largest suburb in metropolitan Syracuse.

In the 17th century, Onondaga people settled a town on the south side of what would later become Manlius.

The economy related to trade generated by the Erie Canal contributed to the early development of the town.

The Christ Church and Manlius Village Cemeteries and Mycenae Schoolhouse are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

[6] The eastern town line is the border of Madison County, New York, marked in part by Chittenango Creek.

The New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) crosses the northern part of Manlius.

New York State Route 290 crosses the northwestern corner of the town.

25.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
