Marmaracık is a neighbourhood of the municipality and district of Ergene, Tekirdağ Province, Turkey.
[3] Marmaracık is situated in East Thrace, the European part of Turkey.
It is on the Turkish state highway D.100 which connects Istanbul to Edirne and the Bulgarian border.
The population of the town is composed of Türkmen people which were settled in Dobrudja of Romania by the Ottoman Empire government during the early years of the empire.
In 1920s, most of these people returned to Turkey and a part of them were settled in Marmaracık.
