Sallim Mattar Mosque (Malay: Masjid Sallim Mattar) is a mosque in Singapore serving the Muslim community in the Macpherson Estate.
It is located along Mattar Road opposite Macpherson Primary School.
[1] The villagers raised $2,000 which was matched by Shaikh Sallim Mattar, a Singaporean merchant of Arab descent and also a prominent leader of the Muslim community in Singapore, to buy a piece of land and to build a mosque on it.
[1][2] The mosque was then named after Shaikh Sallim Mattar and was officially opened in 1935.
[1] As part of MUP, the mosque started the Light Project to modify the multipurpose hall located on the fourth story of the building and construct an elevator to it for ease of access for elderly worshippers.
