Masjid Wak Tanjong

The Masjid Wak Tanjong is a mosque located in the Geylang township near Paya Lebar in the East Region, Singapore.

It was established in 1837 by Wak Tanjong, a foreign Muslim merchant from the city of Malacca, who is also the namesake of the mosque.

[4] The original mosque was a wooden building with a prayer hall, which was replaced in 1933–1935 with a structure built in the style of Indo-Saracenic architecture.

[1][2] It has received a new paint scheme as well as improvised facilities for the public.

[1][2] The mosque is located next to the Paya Lebar MRT station.
