It was announced by Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong during the 2013 National Day Rally[1] The mosque is located at 10 Woodlands Drive 17, Singapore 737740.
[2] The mosque officially opened to public on 14 April 2017 by the former President's widow, Madam Noor Aisha, witnessed by guests including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Yaacob Ibrahim.
The design and architecture of the mosque were inspired by President Ishak's official and private residences.
Moreover, it blends traditional mosque characteristics with the heritage of the "Malay world", the Nusantara.
The prayer space can accommodate 4,500 people with facilities to cater to the needs of the elderly.
