Matteson is a town in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, United States.

The former unincorporated community of Hunting was located partially in the town.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 956 people, 346 households, and 269 families residing in the town.

There were 390 housing units at an average density of 10.6 per square mile (4.1/km2).

17.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
