[6] Original commissioning of the completed road was planned for April 2017, but additional work of 0.9 kilometres (1 mi), required a contract extension.
[6] During the budget speech for the financial year 2018/2019, read on 14 June 2018, Matia Kasaija, the Uganda Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development announced that the road had been completed.
