It is part of the La Crosse, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The unincorporated community of Medary (formerly known as Winona Junction) is located in the town.

There were 553 housing units at an average density of 47.2 per square mile (18.2/km2).

17.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
