Melanie Durrant

She attended the Arts program at Earl Haig Secondary School and also trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music.

[1] Melanie Durrant has collaborated with artists such as Kardinal Offishall, Choclair, Common and Slakah The Beatchild.

[2] She has shared the stage alongside Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Jill Scott and Sean Paul.

Durrant has also been involved with numerous educational initiatives, such as headlining the 'HipHop4Africa' Mandela Children's Fund Canada and CapAids February 2006 Toronto benefit which was hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos.

[4] Then in 2014, "Gone" was Durrant's second release in as many years to be recognized by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) at the JUNO Awards.
