Melville, KwaZulu-Natal

Melville is a quiet and small coastal village often regarded as something of an extension of Port Shepstone and as a small village it has no shopping centre or public transport to speak of with very little to no developments in the area.

The village remains largely unspoilt as it is abundantly covered by indigenous subtropical vegetation, most notably wild banana trees (hence it has a beach called Banana Beach).

The nearest shopping facilities are found in the two aforementioned towns.

Furthermore, Melville is neighboured by the coastal villages of Pumula to the north and Sunwich Port to the south.

[2][3][4][5] Larger beaches in the Hibiscus Coast area include Hibberdene, Port Shepstone, St Michael's-on-Sea, Uvongo, Margate and Ramsgate.
