Micromyrtus vernicosa

Micromyrtus vernicosa is a species of flowering plant in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae and is endemic to a south-eastern Queensland.

Micromyrtus vernicosa is a spreading shrub that typically grows up to 2 m (6 ft 7 in) high and wide and has more or less drooping branchlets.

[2] Micromyrtus vernicosa was first formally described in 1997 by Anthony Bean in the journal Austrobaileya from specimens collected in Mount Walsh National Park.

[2] This species of micromyrtus is endemic to Mount Walsh where it grows in rocky soils in heathland.

[2] Micromyrtus vernicosa is listed as "vulnerable" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
