Molinis is a former municipality in the district of Plessur in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.

Of the rest of the land, 1.4% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (11%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).

Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (97.8%), with Romansh being second most common (1.5%) and Spanish being third (0.7%).

[5] The age distribution, as of 2000[update], in Molinis is; 20 children or 14.7% of the population are between 0 and 9 years old and 22 teenagers or 16.2% are between 10 and 19.
