Moravia, New York

The town is located in the Finger Lakes region, south of Auburn.

Moravia was long known as the last bastion of the Whigs, the defunct political party of native ex-U.S. president Millard Fillmore.

A few Whigs survived as late as the early 1980s according to voter registration records.

Mill Creek flows into the Owasco Inlet at Moravia village.

24.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
