Throop (/ˈtruːp/ TROOP) is a town in Cayuga County, New York, United States.
The town is at the northern city line of Auburn and is in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Throop was within the Central New York Military Tract, reserved for war veterans.
The town is best known for the wide variety of colorful houses found throughout its various neighborhoods.
