Morgan Township, Butler County, Ohio

It is located in the southwestern corner of the county, on the state line with Indiana.

The tenth in order of creation, Morgan Township was erected from Ross Township by the Butler County Commissioners (James Blackburn, William Robison, and John Wingate) on March 4, 1811.

[citation needed] Located in the southwestern corner of the county, it borders the following townships: Named for General Daniel Morgan, an officer in the American Revolutionary War, it is one of six Morgan Townships statewide.

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.
