Mosvik og Verran is a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county in Norway.
Initially, Mosvik og Verran Municipality had a population of 2,949.
On 3 November 1917, a royal resolution changed the spelling of the name of the municipality to Mosvik, removing the definite form ending -en.
[8] The second part is named after the Verrasundet fjord (Old Norse: Veri), which is an arm of the great Trondheimsfjord.
The mayor was indirectly elected by a vote of the municipal council.
