Mount Outram (British Columbia)

Mount Outram is a prominent 2,461-metre (8,074-foot) mountain summit located in the Canadian Cascades of southwestern British Columbia, Canada.

[3][2][5] The first ascent of the mountain was made August 12, 1924, by Fred Perry, Herbert Selwood, Leslie Ford, and T.L.

[6][7][8] During the Pleistocene period dating back over two million years ago, glaciation advancing and retreating repeatedly scoured the landscape.

Uplift and faulting in combination with glaciation have been the dominant processes which have created the tall peaks and deep valleys of the North Cascades area.

Fred Beckey describes Mount Outram as having "the finest assortment of arctic flora in the northern Cascades.
