Interferometry is the process of combining waves in such a way that they constructively interfere.
So a satellite system capable of collecting light from the beginning of the universe would be able to tell us more about where we came from.
A satellite system using the interferometric technologies mentioned above would be able to have a much higher resolution than any of the current deep space imaging systems.
A space systems[clarification needed] also reduces the amount of interference due to lack of an atmosphere.
These budget cuts have slowed the multiple satellite imaging development and relevant scientific missions as Project Prometheus and Terrestrial Planet Finder have ended as well but research continues.
