These ten buses, as well as depot infrastructure to support them, were funded with a £2.2 million grant issued in 2019 from the UK government's Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme.
[8] The funding secured by TfWM was used in January 2022 to order a further 130 Alexander Dennis Enviro400EVs and associated depot infrastructure for National Express Coventry, intended to replace the same amount of conventional diesel-powered double-deckers operated by the company.
[18] Also Network West Midlands multi-operator tickets are issued and accepted on the companies buses within the Coventry boundary and to/from Keresley and Middlemarch Business Park.
Coventry and the West Midlands allows contactless payments through the m-Ticket app[19] or credit cards, Swift Pay as you Go,[20] along with exact change cash fares.
The partnership is committed to reducing crime and anti social behavior across the West Midlands bus network whilst providing reassurance to the travelling public.
Safer travel has also created the 'See Something, Say Something' campaign, where passengers are encouraged to anonymously send information about nuisance behavior on buses by text message.
