Nishinari-ku, Osaka

Nishinari-ku is also home to a number of shitamachi ("lower-town") shopping streets, increasingly a rarity in fast-developing urban Japan.

Kamagasaki in Nishinari-ku is home to many day-laborers and most of the homeless people in Osaka.
