The founders of the university's scientific school were such outstanding scientists such as: Victor Moritzovich Shtein, Alexei Yakovlevich Shpakov, Anton Samoilovich Borinevich, Grigory Isakovich Titikin, Sergei Ivanovich Solntsev, and Gavrilo Ivanovich Tanfiliev.
