Pecherov had previously played with Paris Basket Racing internationally.

On 23 June 2009 he was traded along with Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila, and a first-round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Randy Foye and Mike Miller.

[1] On 16 August 2010 he signed with Olimpia Milano of the Italian league and the Euroleague for the 2010–11 season.

[3] On 9 November 2013 he signed a one-month deal with Valencia BC of the Spanish ACB League.

[4] On 22 January 2014 he signed with Krasnye Krylia of Russia for the rest of the 2013–14 season.
