Opole County, Opole Voivodeship

Opole County (Polish: powiat opolski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Opole Voivodeship, south-western Poland.

It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998.

The county covers an area of 1,586.82 square kilometres (612.7 sq mi).

The county is subdivided into 13 gminas (4 urban-rural and 9 rural).
