[3] During his administration, from 2008 to 2011, Lemus undertook reforms to combat corruption in various levels of government, in addition to promoting citizen participation with initiatives such as Reasoned Vote and Meet Your Deputy.

[2] Nominated by the MC, Lemus was elected Mayor of Zapopan by popular vote for the period 2015–2018, with a difference of 10 percentage points.
