Petrov is a municipality and village in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
Petrov consists of three municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census):[2] The name is derived from the personal name Petr, meaning "Petr's (court)".
[3] Petrov is located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Prague.
The highest point is the hill U Obrázku at 446 m (1,463 ft) above sea level.
The first written mention of Petrov is in a deed of Pope Clement V from 1310.
