Vestec (Prague-West District)

Vestec is a municipality and village in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

In the centre of the municipality is Vestecký pond, supplied by a brook called Olšanský potok.

The first written mention of Vestec is in a deed of King Charles IV from 1360.

From the 17th century until the establishment of an independent municipality, Vestec belonged to the Dolní Břežany estate and was owned mainly by the Prague archbishopric.

[3] The D0 motorway (part of the European route E50) runs south of Vestec, just outside the municipal territory.
