Pilar Hidalgo-Lim graduated from the University of the Philippines, Bachelor of Arts, cum laude.
[2] In 1940, with Josefa Llanes Escoda, Hidalgo-Lim helped found the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
[3] She also worked as a line producer for Parlatone Hispano-Filipino Studios, a Manila movie production company.
Hidalgo-Lim and her children were in the United States when World War II started.
She steered the university during the reconstruction and normalization of school operations after World War II.
