The Plenty River is a perennial river[1] of the Port Phillip catchment, located in the north-eastern Greater Melbourne region of the Australian state of Victoria.
The Plenty River rises in the forested slopes of Mount Disappointment, northwest of Humevale.
The river flows generally south, joined by three minor tributaries, before reaching its confluence with the Yarra River southeast of Rosanna.
The river descends 227 metres (745 ft) over its 47-kilometre (29 mi) course.
