Prattsburgh, New York

Prattsburgh is a town in Steuben County, New York, United States.

[2] It is situated in the northeast part of the county, north of Bath.

[3] The Prattsburgh community is named after early settler Joel Pratt, who arrived around 1799 to purchase land.

New York State Route 53 is an important north-south highway in the town.

As of the census[7] of 2000, there were 2,064 people, 809 households, and 567 families residing in the town.

24.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
