Ptychobela griffithii

Ptychobela griffithii is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pseudomelatomidae, the turrids.

When the ribs and the smooth spiral lirae come together, they create axial nodes on the shoulder of each whorl.

The rather wide, slightly concave aperture measures about half the total length of the shell.

The ground color of the shell is brown with white axial nodes.

[2] This marine species occurs in the Red Sea, off Oman, in the Bay of Bengal and off Japan.
