Purrawunda is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia.
[3][4] Soils in the area feature dark, medium clays which are fertile and well drained.
There is also some grazing on native vegetation and intensive animal husbandry (a feedlot).
[4] The name Purrawunda means big fight in the local Jagera language.
[8] The beef abattoir is co-located with a feedlot so that meat quality and animal welfare can be maintained.
