Ray Williams currently serves as the Director of Education and Academic Affairs the Blanton Museum of Art, located at the University of Texas at Austin.
He attended a K-12 school that provided early exposure to museums and art education through class field trips and studio courses, and enjoyed the perks of growing up in a university town.

[5] Also at the Harvard and Sackler Museums, Williams developed programming that brought physicians and medical educators in to the museum spaces for lessons in close looking, and empathy and communication skills; this work further carried over to the University of Texas at Austin's Dell Medical School.
[6] Ray Williams' current projects focus on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum and resources for the Blanton Art Museum, while creating virtual content for learners during COVID-19.
