Rengat (Jawi: رڠات ) is a kecamatan (district) in Riau province of Indonesia and it is the capital (seat) of Indragiri Hulu Regency.
Many companies take the nature resources from the forest without legal permit.
Other peoples who are ethnic immigrants in Rengat include: Malay, Minang, Batak, Tionghuoa, and Sunda.
[1][2] A monument is dedicated to the victims of the Rengat Massacre, including the father of famed author Chairil Anwar.
In the town center there is an hour and a sculptured monument with amra fruit on it.
