Rottum (river)

The Rottum is a river in the region of Upper Swabia in Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

Including its source river Bellamonter Rottum and its lower course Westernach, it is 43.8 km (27.2 mi) long.

[1] The Rottum runs from south to north parallel to the river Rot to the east.

Parts of the Upper Swabian Baroque Route run along the river Rottum.

[2] In 2013, a project will start to renaturate a stretch of the river within the confines of the city of Laupheim.
