Sabatinca pluvialis is a species of moth belonging to the family Micropterigidae.
[3] Gibbs described the species as follows: Antennal base pale ochreous, grading to black tip.
Forewing creamy-white with bold pattern of iridescent blackish-grey, with faint purplish sheen.
[3] Larvae of this species have been collected from the trunks of trees in the genus Nothofagus, upon which liverworts flourish as a result of the frequent rain that falls on the west coast and its off lying islands of New Zealand.
