Sam A. Lindsay

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Government from St. Mary’s University in 1974, graduating magna cum laude.

In 1977, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin.

After graduating from law school, Lindsay served as a staff attorney for the Texas Aeronautics Commission from 1977 to 1979.

Lindsay was the first African American to serve on the federal District Court in Dallas.
