The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.65% White, 0.73% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.74% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.28% from other races, and 1.34% from two or more races.
There were 6,611 households, out of which 28.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.2% were married couples living together, 11.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.4% were non-families.
