Savane River (Caldwell River tributary)

The Savane River flows through the southern part of the Gaspé peninsula, crossing the municipalities of Saint-Louis-du-Ha!

The latter flows southeast to the north shore of the Saint John River in New Brunswick.

The latter flows southeast through all of New Brunswick and spills out onto the north shore of the Bay of Fundy which opens southwest to the Atlantic Ocean.

The upper part of the Savane river is served by the route du Vieux Chemin.

The toponym “Rivière Savane” was formalized on December 5, 1968, at the Commission de toponymie du Québec.
