Severny District (Russian: Се́верный райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia.
It is located in the northwest of the oblast.
The area of the district is 2,100 square kilometers (810 sq mi).
[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Severnoye.
[8] The population of Severnoye accounts for 29.5% of the total district's population.
