Svetlinsky District (Russian: Све́тлинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia.
It is located in the east of the oblast.
The area of the district is 5,608 square kilometers (2,165 sq mi).
[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Svetly.
[4] Shalkar-Yega-Kara, the largest lake in Orenburg Oblast, is located in the district.
