Sorochinsky District (Russian: Сорочинский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia.

The area of the district is 2,800 square kilometers (1,100 sq mi).

[1] The town of Sorochinsk serves as its administrative center,[2] despite being incorporated separately as an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.

[5] Prior to June 1, 2015, the district was incorporated as Sorochinsky Municipal District, while the Town of Sorochinsk was incorporated separately as Sorochinsk Urban Okrug.
